Great photo!
May 19th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Agree with Irishshogun. The clue is in the name. Kilkee is not in Limerick and im sure there are plenty of nice views in Limerick we could use. Next we’ll be using pictures from America from people with ancestors from Limerick.

Excellent photo!!
May 19th, 2008 at 2:17 pm
Kilkee is little limerick, I say we extend the boundry to take in Kilkee. A bit like the German annex of Austria.
May 19th, 2008 at 2:36 pm

May 19th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
Whatever about the location semantics (not a Kilkee fan, except for the swimming, tbh)…..still a great photo. Nice job, Ian.

*BREATHS DEEP* ahhhh I can smell the fresh air :)
May 19th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
I always thought Kilkee was referred to as ‘Limerick-on-Sea’. But either way it is in that other county.
May 20th, 2008 at 11:48 am
Not a good idea. Kilkee != Limerick
But nice picture. I have nice pictures from Connemara…
May 20th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
I knew that extending the city boundarys was only the start of it but surely Kilkee is just that bit to far?
May 20th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
The picture stays. end of disussion.
whine about it elsewhere
May 20th, 2008 at 5:43 pm
ok, i don’t vote for it. end of story.
May 20th, 2008 at 6:19 pm
We are not whining we’re making observations, Kilkee = Clare not Limerick is an observation! Ah no I don’t like big cliff = whine.
May 20th, 2008 at 6:20 pm
Sich Heil!!
May 20th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Incredible. People seem to think they can tell the owner of a private website what pictures he can put on it. And when he makes his own mind up about the design of his own website, which he pays for out of his own pocket, they imply that he’s a Nazi. If that was my site, and somebody said Sieg Heil (even if it was misspelt like it is here), I’d tell them to fuck off and they’d never again be allowed to comment. And if the whined about free speech, I’d tell them that they can have all the free speech they want when they pay for their own website.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
‘the image must be Limerick related’ it’s wide open for interpretation.
May 20th, 2008 at 10:56 pm
as a limerick person who has a house in kilkee i dond think we should have it as our banner for the blogger
May 21st, 2008 at 9:47 am
@At Pat Johnson
If you are going to insult people, at least get your spelling right.
the rest of ye can stop your trolling now. there were one or two pictures from Kilkee in march or april. anyway. whiners will be marked as spam from here on in.
Now if you don’t mind there are some religeous minorities i have to oppress.

A site is based on its community, otherwise you’re some git on a box talking to themselves. A community likes to express itself, you may not agree with them and if you’d like to tell them to fuck off as you so eloquently put it, you should stick to your own vanity projects so that real people wont upset you.
You might not like the Nazi comment (I don’t) but getting rid of those whose opinions you don’t like seems very Nazi to me. Nobodys telling him what to put on the website, we’re expressing an opinion that Kilkee is not Limerick related, its up him whether to agree or disagree with us.
May 21st, 2008 at 10:04 am
Sorry but mr johnson crossed the line referring to us as nazis, The person who took the picture felt it was a relavent picture, I felt it was a relevant picture, and half the people commenting felt it was a relevant picture.
I cannot please everyone, and people should respect a decision once it has been made rather than posting “seig Heil” as a response.
May 21st, 2008 at 11:09 am
Pat, will you please take that comment back? Some phrases are just way too loaded to be bandied about. And now Squid’s referring to himself as ‘us’ and Bock’s gone all Christian Brotherish. And it’s raining. So, Pat, do the necessary.
I’ve some lovely photos of Lahinch if anyone’s interested in a real seaside!
May 21st, 2008 at 11:17 am
Roisin, I refer to “us” because limerickblogger.org is a group blog. just to clarify that point.
May 21st, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Squid, indeed you cant please everyone all the time, but don’t get rilled by stupid comments. Nazi is a very loaded word it shouldn’t be used as a derogatory term, must be tempting stick it on the filter list! But then how will we put down real nazi assholes :)
May 21st, 2008 at 5:07 pm
Rosin, lets see the lahinch shots! personally love lahinsh. The kilkee shot is awesome!
May 21st, 2008 at 5:51 pm
