Transatlantic flight diverted after attendant becomes ill

A Virgin flight had to make an unscheduled landing at Shannon after a flight attendant became ill.

The flight from Boston to London Heathrow touched down at 0630 hrs this morning after the attendant complained of feeling unwell.

She was taken to the midwestern regional hospital in Dooradoyle with suspected appendicitis

    Ah poor woman. Wonder would her health insurance help her get ahead of the queues……Have VHI myself & still had the expeerince of being on trolley overnight in the AE…U can still pick up the old bugs health insurance or not!!!!!

    Do you think people without health insurance should wait till for treatment until those who have insurance are seen?

    I don’t really know how the system works in general so I think it would interesting if someone could explain how this works.
