I agree, its a whole load of people and nothing else to be honest! in the sence ofI couldnt see anything I wanted to buy!! BUT>>> I did enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, great weather and the big get together of limerick and international people is always a great time :) and all at the event were so friendly
yeah, i love the bad bits hahah, it was shite all in all, but feck it i still had a good time too.
I got a free coffee thats blended in ireland, chocolate thats made in co. clare, yummy! and some suprisingly expensive sweets from the french stalls.
some good bands played outside the lock last night and b4. Walter mitty and Seneca caught my attention; really good bands playing original tunes, very impressive stuff but no one really botherd to watch them as it rained sat night and last night the stage was at some stupid angle, pointing nearly the wrong way, where you could only really hear the bands if you stood right in front of it. Still nice to go to an open air gig free of scumbags and their antics.
now i have a nice hangover to show for it all and i intend to make the most of it. laters :)
I said to the family that we give it one more try this year. Sorry to say it was not great again. Weather was super and met some great people, but I have to say the French stalls were a rip-off with there high prices. And no improvement in the way the stalls were laid out, still people been crammed down a narrow street between the stalls. And the litter…..God what a disgrace. Last time I am sorry to say.
im with the Maker on that, REALLY expensive stalls and no room to walk or stand. When twas up on bedford row it was grand, lots of space to browse around.
Last time for mr too to go there, weather great BUT,, french stole my money again (fool me). bag of olives 17euro. fool me. 3pm on sunday all was over, no cooking going on. festival is for those taking part only, Oh and sorry for the LOCK bar to have a big pay day. 5euro for a burger, well done LOCK BAR for supporting Limerick. Next year please ban the french market , we have seen it now too many times, and cant afford another hit from them

What a good idea. Let’s focus on the bad bits in the great Limerick tradition.

Being charged €12:60 for two pint bottles of bulmers in The Locke Bar kinda pissed me off but i enjoyed the festivities outside of the bar.
