Javas going out on song
Javas Cafe will be closing it’s doors for the last time on Saturday, and to mark the passing of what has been described as a Limerick Institution, the staff and regulars are bringing out a CD called Javas: The Soundtrack.
Artists will be well known to those familiar with the music scene in Limerick. they include; Amoured Bear, Ben Oit, Veneer, David Irwin, Cara Newman, Ger O’Donnell, Jack Sabuska, and John Carmody.
According to proprietor, Duncan O’Toole, Some of the tracks were recorded live in Java’s café and others were collected from the artists themselves.
The result is a CD with nine tracks on sale in Java’s Café, Empire Music and other good music stores, on sale for 10 Euros. CD’s went on sale Monday 29th of January.
