Limerick suffered their first home defeat of the season at Hogan park last night as they lost 3 -2 to Dundalk. Having gone behind after a quarter of an hour the home side drew level some three minutes later but two further second half goals put the game beyond Limerick. The home side pulled one back but couldn’t gain an equaliser. Limerick are still top of the league by a point but second place Shamrock Rovers have a game in hand.

Munster meanwhile were back in Celtic League action and had a good win over Borders last night. The visitors came out on top by a scoreline of 41-25. Christian Cullen scored a try in his comeback. Hooker Denis Fogarty also crossed the try line as did David Wallace and Ian Dowling.
